PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City of Mattawa City Council in the city council chambers at City Hall, on May 3, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligibility uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons and persons residing in the City of Mattawa. Up to $750,000 may be available to the City of Mattawa on a statewide competitive basis to fund public facility, community facility, economic development and affordable housing projects that principally benefit low-and moderate income persons. An outline of the proposed Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements project will be available for review at the City of Mattawa, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, April 25th through May 3rd. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the City of Mattawa, up to 4:00 p.m. May 3, 2018. A Spanish speaking interpreter will be available. The City Council Chambers is handicap accessible. POR MEDIO DE LA PRESENTE SE NOTIFICA que el Concilio de la Cuidad de Mattawa, efectuara una audiencia pública en la cámara del Concilio en el City Hall, el 3 de Mayo, 2018 a las 5:30 pm. El propósito de la audiencia pública es el de revisar las necesidades del desarrollo de la comunidad y vivienda, informar a los ciudadanos de la disponibilidad de fondos, y la elegibilidad de su uso, del Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) estatal, y el de recibir comentarios de las actividades propuestas, particularmente de personas con bajos ingresos y personas que residen en la Cuidad de Mattawa. Hasta $750,000 podrían estar disponibles para la Cuidad de Mattawa, en una base competitiva estatal para financiar instalaciones públicas, instalaciones de la comunidad, desarrollo económico y proyectos de vivienda accesible que beneficien principalmente a personas con ingresos bajos y moderados.
