OTHELLO — A weekend fire caused extensive damages to a cardboard recycling center east of Othello.

The fire broke out at the Adams County Bruce Transfer Station, located in the 500 block of South Lucy Road, east of Othello, on Sunday

The Adams County Sheriff's Office reports the cardboard recycling center, as well as a nearby tractor, sustained severe damages in the blaze. Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire. It remains unclear if the fire was a result of arson. There was no reported injuries. Investigators are accessing the damages done to the building at the location.
