Mid-Columbia Libraries support student success

Print Article

The Mid-Columbia Libraries (MCL) online catalog offers Accelerated Reader (AR) collection searchable by level, interest, and grade. Parents and educators looking to support their students reading progress can visit the MCL web site to search for qualifying AR books for kids of all ages and abilities.

Accelerated Reader is a web-based tool used to monitor and manage student comprehension and reading practices. Students read books of their choice within their comfort level and then take an online quiz about the book’s content. Not all schools use AR. Parents should check with their local school for information about AR test eligibility and locations. Learn more at midcolumbialibraries.org/accelerated-reader.
